Please someone tell me that your ferry trip to Santander was ok - I am getting worried...

We are going in a few weeks with DS nearly 3 and DD 7 months. DH, DS and I all got seasick recently on the ferry to northern france (well only DH was sick, DS and I were not actually sick but quite green - sorry TMI). DH says it will be ok as the boat is big????

Sorry to tell you that we hit bad weather coming back from Bilbao, the Pride of Bilbao is a massive ship and although DH and I were OK, all 3 kids were very seasick crossing the Bay of Biscay and ship plunged violently up and down despite it's size. I can only suggest that you stock up on travel sickness pills, I don't know if there any suitable for a 3 year old, but I really wish that we had had some. They were fine on the way out with calm weather.

Yeah, i have been searching for suitable sea sickness pills. At least i know it might be ok if the weather is good. Fingers corssed for good weather both ways (in May)

There are seasickness bracelets that press on acupunture points that seem to work for some people...

SomeGuy · 27/04/2009 11:03

I used to have those acupressure bracelets for carsickness. They are purely psychosomatic, but if it convinces the person wearing it, it might just work.

aaah. now i'm worried about catching pig flu too. is it too late to stay at home? i thought there might be a reason the trip was cheap.

I've done that trip and loved it. The overnight one. Dinner as we sailed into the sunet, waking off the coast of Spain. Don't remember seasickness but then I'm as tough as old boots. I so envy you.
