Multi centre holiday including Orlando

We are thinking of going to Orlando next year for 2 weeks, but would like to stay somewhere else for a week at the end of the holiday before returning home.

Has anyone done this and if so where did you stay?

a lot of people do two centres, Orlando and somewhere like Tampa or St. Petersburg to spend time on the beach. Both are only around an hours drive from Orlando.
If you wanted to go a bit further afield you could go down to Naples area which is lovely or Miami/Florida keys. Loads of options.
