We are going to the Grupotel Macarella apartments in June for our first holiday sine the DCs 13m and 2yrs arrived. I am so terrified of flying that I can hardly start to think about it in any sensible way, but am determined that my phobia shouldn't mean that kids and DH miss out on lovely holidays. I need someone to tell me it will be lovely so I can start looking beyond the flight.. I need to get my head into practical mode.. should we take pushchairs/baby jars etc? We have also yet to book a transfer from the airport to the resort.. anyone done this transfer? Should we book a bus, get a taxi or hire a car? What happens with car seats? Aaargh - getting anxious just typing this!!

We went years ago when ds was just 9 weeks old!!! it was fab!! the resort has a square type place surrounded by restaurants and a band stand/dance floor in centre where the kids all danced and rampaged while parents ate!!! We did think it would be handy as he got older! The resort was great and we had a fab holiday! A 13 mo shouldn't need jars - just give bits of what you eat. restaurants were all VERY child friendly and I would go back. We just went on coach from airport but yes, I would take buggies. Then you can go out in the evening and walk back pushing sleeping babes in buggies (ideal scenario!). With such young kids pool and beach should be enough and you can get the local bus if you want to travel.
