Does anyone know why ryanair won't allow online check in if you have an infant. Just looking to book flights with them and because we have an infant we have to pay extra for airport check in. It's costing an extra £40 because of this. £10 each for me and dh and £20 for dd (who's 2 and not even taking any luggage), and are they really as bad as everyone says.

Maybe because you are restricted as to where you can sit on the plane (extra oxygen masks, non emergency exit seats etc)

LIZS its free eating on Ryanair so seats are not allocated so having an infant would make no difference.

I can see no reason why they should do this to you. Oh hang on . . . its Ryanair, they have found a way of gettign extra cash out of you - that would be it.

I believe you can get that charge refunded - check on their site - they say that if that is the reason you have to do airport check, they can refund the cost for the adult with the infant (not for the others in the party though - so do online for DH and DD)
