Can anyone recommend a good hotel for kids in Minneapolis / St Paul?

Friend is staying in the W but it looks pricey and possibly not child friendly

Think you'd probably be more comfy in a hotel that does suites i.e. living room with sep bedroom? - Check out Embassy Suites/Comfort Suites or Doubletree Suites here

I've stayed at a Embassy Suites in Minneapolis (can't remember exactly where now, think it was near the Mall of America) and breakfast was included too. You get a lot more room and they're generally more family-friendly - W hotels are really lovely but are much more designer-boutique hotels.

Would also suggest the Embassy Suites or some other suite hotel chain like the Doubletree rather than the W (not at all child friendly, expensive and a bit airy fairy).

BTW the Marriott in downtown Minneapolis is nice too.

I've never been to MSP, but my favourite hotel chain is Embassy Suites. The rooms are very family friendly, and they have a fab happy hour (free hors d'oeuvres and drinks) which segues nicely into dinner time.
