Inspiration... somewhere with beach and bike rides with 1 yo?

We are trying to book a holiday around late Aug/early Sept and need inspiration!! We'd ideally like somewhere self catering, near or on a beach, and really like the idea of hiring out bikes with a child seat/trailer and doing some gentle, preferable off road cycling. Playgrounds nearby would be good too. Not keen on big resorts.

Oh, and don't want to take a risk on the weather - we want some sun (though not TOO hot) :-)

Any ideas, anyone...?

What about the weather? Have had too many rainy holidays and really want some guaranteed sun... I'm guessing we won't get that on the Atlantic coast?

I was going to suggest camping Village la Plage in le Guilvenic brittany but won't if you're deperate for sun!!! Another good place for fun and cycling is St jean de Monts but again, no sun gauarantees there either!

You could look here where we're going (went last year and it was fab). Pool, beach, playgrounds are great and the campsite is beside pine woods with cycle tracks. Weather great and you can have a day in venice!
