car seat fitting abroad

we are flying to Nice airport in summer and then hiring a car.However we have done this before and have hired a carseat also.The car hire company will not fit the carseat and we couldnt does anyone know a carhire firm at Nice airport that does fit the seat for you , thanks

I've never come across a hire firm who will fit a seat for you (US and Spain). I think it's to avoid any potential liability calims in the event of an accident.

Agree with Soupy it is unusual to find a hire company who will fit. Better to check that the seats are good quality and they provide instructions. Still have vivid memories of struggling to fit 2 in open air car lot in 100o at Gatwick 2 summers ago - took us over half an hour with Europcar staff looking on - grrr

Try Avis - in France we've hired cars on many occasions(not from Nice airport but at other airport/ railway locations). They bring the car seats to the car and install them.
