Thank you for responding Saggy. I ended up asking on the local board and was told ducks were only occasional visitors there. I loved looking at those photos on the link you provided though. They are great.

Yes, Snuff Mills is a good un, there are lots of ducks at Portishead Lake Grounds too but a bit of a trek for you - good for a day out in the summer hols though :-)
