People do such widely different things on holiday this is virtually impossible to answer. Are you likely to eat out at every opportunity, occasionally or not at all? And what sort of activities do you enjoy on holiday? If it includes lots of expensive stuff like watersports, horseriding etc, then you will need far more than people who spend their time hiking.

There are three of us, me, dh and ds (5). on our last holiday we went self catering and bought breakfast food from the supermarket, bread, milk, cereal, eggs etc. We had a decent breakfast in our apartment and then a light snack for lunch at a cafe and most nights we ate out at a restaurant. On average we spent about 50-70 euros a day including a couple of drinks with our evening meal. we bugetted about 100 euros a day (including our meals)(about £80) but with ds being so young he just wanted to sit on the beach, play in the pool or go to the park. We did get about 130 euros to the pound so now it would cost us more given that you can only get about 100 euros to the pound now. some days we spent more than others depending on what we did. I think all in all we spent about £1000 for the two weeks we were away not including the cost of waiting around in the airport!! and duty free!!

hope this helps.
