Renting car seats in NY?

We are trying to avoid taking ours for 2 dds. We'll be collected by relative without kids and wonder if they can rent car seats there?

How old are your DDs? How long will you be there for? My parents once found a rental place in Toronto, but I think they're few and far between. Car seats can be pretty cheap in North America, might be cheaper to buy than rent.

We usually just take our own
