I am from Greater London but I am so out of touch having moved away. We have two days to fill. Must do big dinosaurs at Natural history museum but beyond that not sure. It will be just me and the two of them. Not expecting ds( who will then be six months) to fully appreciate activities - just need to be baby friendly if poss. Oh and cheapish - free museums ideal but can pay for some stuff. Thank you!

Science Museum Science Museum Science Museum.

It's all I ever recommend!

Seriously, it may get crowded over the holidays, but is so worth a trip (and just round the corner from the dino museum). In the basement there is a toddler section where you could sit with your baby while your elder one plays with water and soft bricks and things that make funny sounds. Or there's the Pattern Pod on the ground floor where, again, you can sit with baby and watch your elder one having fun. Upstairs the Launch Pad is for slightly older kids - still great for the 3 year old but a bit more frenetic.

Also the Wetlands Centre at Barnes (direct bus from Hammersmith). It's huge and beautiful - loads of wetlands and ducks, with a great outdoor playground and also an indoor play centre with water games.
