Can anyone please recommend weekend accommodation for my DP, 2yr old DS and I in the Beaulieu area? Happy to self cater or stay in a hotel! Not too pricey though, i.e.

Humm I live pretty close to Beaulieu but I can't remember the names of B&B's. There is a small hotel called Bartley Lodge which might be worth trying. There is also one on the edge of Lyndhurst with a cricket green in front of it (can't remember the name)....

Bucklers Hard Hotel is gorgeous it isn't cheap but you might be able to get something for around that price especially if you do a bit of neg!!

The Montague Arms in Beaulieu is gorgeous but spennie!!

Rhinefield House near Brockenhurst?

Other areas to try are, Lyndhurst, Lymington, Pennington, Sway, Brockenhurst...

GOOD LUCK

If all fails come and stay with me!!

this one in tiptoe is supposed to be nice

Thanks!!

Bucklers Hard Hotel closed for refurb, Jaffaswife. I'll take a look at the others. I know the hotel you mean with the cricket ground in front. We ate there a few years ago. Rooms start around £160!!

Where did you stay in Hythe, MrsJ?

Lavenders looks nice, Ggirl. I'll call them to check availability.

we stayed in Captain's House - it was pretty child-friendly. It has 3 rooms so perhaps is a little large for your needs. We shared it with another family. It's a stone's throw from the shops/waitrose/pier with the train to the end to catch the ferry to southampton.

That looks nice, MrsJ. A good proper holiday accommodation rather than a quick stay. Will note it down for next time!

Any others please?

yes it was lovely, I'd go there again. Was really nicely done with everything you'd need without being cluttered.
