Chessington Ultimate Express Pass - can you buy one and pass it round?

Looking to go to Chessington as got the Merlin Pass (through Tescos clubcard!). Saw this page here:

www.chessington.com/plan_your_trip/express_pass.asp?css=2

and was wondering if anyone had used the £30 Ultimate Express Pass and whether it was worth it? Also as a family 4 could we get 2 passes and pass them round so we go on rides 2 at a time rather than forking out for 4 passes?

when are you going? If you're not doing something stupid like going in August or on a holiday weekend the queues are not too bad.

The long queues are usually the Vampire, the Dodgems, and the Dragon's Fury. I'd suggest going on a nice weekend before July (and not in school holidays) to avoid the crowds. The weekend after Easter should be dead.

Not been but I would imagine it will be a wristband that is attached when you pay for it and cannot be reattached if removed. This would mean only those wearing it could use it. That's how these things are usually operated.

No you can't!

Firstly because what you are proposing is fraudulent and no example to set to your children and secondly because the passes are paper passes that are ripped across every time you take one ride, so cannot be reused.

But really! What kind of shitty behaviour is this?

futurity · 06/04/2009 09:25

going next week. phoned up and asked Chessington themselves and they said it was fine to just get two and swap between us as they appreciate that we have a young one who can't go on all of the ride.

so..it isn't fradulent or shitty behaviour!! What are you like!!?!

Of course it's fine - I suspect you aren't aware of what these passes actually are spectacular

They are a VERY good idea if you go in school holidays but bear in mind they're only for the 6 top rides though. Well 6 of the top rides - Ramases Revenge isn't an Express pass ride for some reason.

Spectacular Wow, I bet you're really great fun to hang out with - especially at theme parks !!! And really, what kind of language is this !!

futurity · 14/04/2009 18:55

I am back from night away at Chessington so thought I would update you all on the pass incase anyone does a search on this on the future.

We bought the ultimate express pass from the Xpress pass hut as soon as we arrived at 10am and got 20% off as we are merlin pass holders. We asked them about buying just 2 and swapping them around and they said it was TOTALLY FINE! Did you hear that...I wasn't being "fraudulent" and setting a bad example to my chidren or indulging in "shitty behaviour".

Don't know why I am saying this as I can see you haven't bothered to come back to the thread to apologise for your OTT language.

Many thanks for the other helpful posts from everyone else. Had a great time and the pass was worth the money as it was EXTREMELY busy today!
