Any recommendations for nice hotels in Canary Islands that have kids clubs? Thank you...

Not on hotels specifically but Playa las Americas in Tenerife is lovely and not in the Canaries but so is Palma in Majorca.

Playa de las Americas is absolutely horrible IMO. But I guess everybody's looking for something different, and if English food and miles of concrete are what you look for on holiday it may suit.

The Sheraton La Celata on Tenerife is nice www.sheratonlacaleta.com/rw/pages/overview/welcome.en.do

I wouldnt recommend Las Americas unless you are after a home from home british holiday.

We have jusst booked to go here, 5 nights, flights and car hire for 3 of us came in at just under £1000, all inclusive. There were a couple of MN'ers who recommended it, and it gets fab reviews on trip advisor. We booked flights and hotel seperately, hotel through lowcostbeds.com for a better price than first choice.

We went to Lanzarote last year and stayed at the Rubimar aparthotel which is in a new marina development, 20 mins walk from Playa Blanca which was also lovely.

We are going to the same hotel as geordieminx. I booked it for the kids facilities-kids club, fab indoor play area, outdoor play area, kids pool, mini disco at night and cinema. It looks really good although paid more tham geordieminx. Booked it through Thomas Cook or it is in First Choice brochure too.

I wouldn't go to Playa las Americas in the summer but when we went to other places at Easter we found it extremely boring and quiet cos most of the places were still shut up. When we went to Playa las Americas at Easter there was a lot of stuff going on which was what we wanted. Also if you go off the main streets and up the back and side streets you find the more authentic (and cheaper) spanish restaurants.

We went to Playa Blanca in Lazarote just before chistmas thinking lovely quiet family resort which it was. Stayed at First Choice holiday village all inclusive, we didn't use kids clubs as dd was just under 2 but everyone we spoke to could not praise them highly enough.

It was a bit too much like Butlins for us though it could just have been it was very very cheap all inclusive so heaven knows it must have been pence for self catering. There were a lot of people with whom we would not want to holiday with but what do you expect when it was cheap as chips!!!

Been there too, carrielou - poshbutlins but pretty fab!
