Hi,
We are a family of 3 (including a toddler who will be 2 years 3 months when travelling), we want a relaxing holiday in Aug/Sept near beach for some sun, cycling, strolling, beach etc.
We'll be flying from Shannon so looking at flying to Nantes and then staying in a town/resort nearby- La Baule, Les Sables d'Olonne, Pornic etc. We would like to do a bit of cycling, strolling etc.

Can you tell me anything about these and other beach towns and which would you recommended with a toddler? La Baule looks very nice as it has a very long beach and a lot of activities but mightbe too busy (mayube not), Pornic lovely but maybe too quiet?.
Can you give me any tips and advice?

Cheers,
Pa.

Just to warn you we were near St Jean de Monts during first week of September last year and it had all but closed down by the end of the week ! Weather changed suddenly too.

We have stayed here out fo season and it was fantastic - we met an irish family who had flown to nantes from shannon there too and said the journey had been dead easy! When we went to Axcapulco my dc were 3 and 4 and they had a great holiday!! Pool is very child friendly as is the play area. You can walk to the local beach and shops and drive/cycle to the main resort beach which is stunning. there was a mini golf next to the site and a waterpark not far. There are fantastic places nearby too:
