should i take nappies

am going t denia in spain with my 18 month old dd. have been told that it can be very expensive to buy nappies. would you advise to take my own ( limited luggae allowence)

Its very expensive if you're looking for "British" brands (esp with the Euro the way it is) but if you buy their local supermarket equivalent its not so bad.

I did notice though that they were only available to buy in huge packs so if you're only going for a few days/a week you're probably going to have to bring some back or leave them behind.

My Mum lives in Spain and I aways use nappies bought from a large suppermarket (Carrefour), Eroski, mercadonna etc.

Huggies are called the same in Spain, but Pampers are called Dodot. I usually use the supermarkets own (Carrefour usually), just remember they don't show the baby weight in lbs so make sure you know your DD's weight in kilos so you can buy the right size.

I wouldn't say they were very expensive at all. I think they were 11 euros for a pack of 72 size 4 nappies last time I was there in February. Of course though they will be more expensive if you shop in corner shops in tourist areas.
