I have been to Berlin 4 times before and love it. My last visit was 6 years ago and I am going again with a German friend in a couple of weeks. We are staying at the Marriott at Potsdamer Platz but flying into Schoenefeld Airport and dont arrive until 9.30pm so am unsure about how to get from the airport to the hotel........
I know there are some Berlin residents out there in Mumsnet and am sure plenty who have visited lately too so if anyone can help me with the following I would be really grateful!
- Is it easier to get a cab at that time of night to the hotel and any idea how much it would cost versus the probable 3-5 euros it would be to get public transport (but take longer.......)
- We have Saturday, Sunday and monday in Berlin, one day we will go to Potsdam and the others probably do a mixture of shopping and museums. Any recommendations for either!?
- Any fabulous restaurants/bars etc that we should know about? Dont want to go over the top expensive but would like to eat drink and be merry whilst there!
