Does anyone know any nice hotels in Plymouth or nearby? Thanks!

what kind of hotel?

You know - rooms, bar, breakfast etc!

Something relatively central with a bit of character or style?

Thanks Shanks.

Is it really new? I stayed at a Jurys Inn there in 2005.

honestly, i have no idea.
define 'nice'.

the china fleet country club is just across the tamar from plymouth.

there's a lovely B&B called Venn Farm in brixton although a bit 'country'. The pub is across the road if you want a bar.

there are lots of travelodge type places near the centre. but i'm not much of a fan of the city in terms of nice architecture etc.(no offence intended)

I don't want to move there! Just somewhere to stay after the Fastnet - that's not a Travelodge etc.
