Bodrum peninsula- what's it like?

Specifically the area around Gumbet / Gumusluk?

We like nice beaches, laid back places, not TOO teeming (though of course it will be school hols!), good choice of local restaurants with authentic menu, some sightseeing - historical or natural.

Will it suit?

Gumbet is full of young kids getting drunk. Better to head to Turgutreis I would say.

Ok - will research!

I need an affordable self-catering package, but not among kids getting drunk!

why not organise yourself? Look on Holiday-Rentals. They sometimes have good deals.

I have always done self-organised hols before, but so far packages involving villas have worked out cheaper because of the discounts they get on flights...this is the first time I have looked for a summer hol in the school hols!

But I will look at that site - thanks!
