Hello everyone
I'm going on holiday in a couple of months with DH, two children (3.5 and 1.5) and a friend. We'll need to hire a car, and I ws wondering if anyone knows what kind of car size will fit us all in? I'd like to avoid getting a people carrier - are there any standard cars that will fit us?
thanks!

We normally hire a peugeot partner when we go away (2 adults, 3 children). Its not a standard car more like a mini-van.

It's really roomy in the back and has plenty of space in the boot (we can fit 3 suitcases & pushchair).

We've got the 2 adults/3 children/3 car seat scenario (+ luggage) and have recently had a Citroen Picasso and a Ford S-Max when we've rented which have both been fine. I think that the Renault Scenic would also have been ok.

Volkswagen Touran or a Volgswagen Golf cos they are wider. Alternatively a Citroen Picasso or a Renault Scenic. Just make sure you've got 3 full size seats in the back. Avoid a Vauxhall zafira as back is not as wide. Hope this is helpful

Yes,
Picasso
S-Max (they are big inside, and can get them with the extra seats that pop up in the back)
Touran/Sharan

thank you for all the tips... I'll see what I can book. And riven, it's a question of squeezing in 2 child car seats and an adult bottom across the back... In our corsa at home, a very skinny person can nearly squeeze in between the car seats, but neither me, my friend or my husband are blessed with skinny bottoms!
