DH and DS have decided that they would like to go on a cruise this summer so I'm checking out the options. The travel agent mentioned NCL and said they were great but i'd love to hear from someone with firsthand experience.

TIA

We have been with NCL but it was in 1990. We really enjoyed it. We didn't have any children at the time but there were children on board, and they seemed to have clubs for them.

They offered the standard cruise experience in terms of food, entertainment and shore excursions.

I would love to go on another cruise - it is a great way to go on holiday. You get to see lots of places, but aren't constantly packing/unpacking, and all you don't have to fuss with decisions about eating and what to do. We found that it was a really cost effective 4* holiday as there were very few hidden costs.

We went pre-internet, so didn't have access to any info outside of travel agents. We had recently moved from the US and happened to still have our Yellow Pages from there. We booked via a US travel agent for about half the price of the UK one.
