Security for a Child Bike Trailer - help!

Have just bought a trailer off ebay to take to Centreparcs, and although I haven't got it yet, its occurred to me that its going to be pretty easy for someone to have away with it - I'm assuming the coupling to the bike is fairly simple on such a cheap trailer - but I could be wrong - is there any way of securing it to the bike, um, securely?!!

I wondered what to do about in general - I thought I could probably just buy a bike chain and thread it through the wheel/chassis to deter thieves and thats probably as 'secure' as it gets. ( I imagine the wheel comes off easily enough too - however a visual deterrent is better than nothing) Although I feel pretty safe at CP, theres always going to be someone having a go with the non-rentals.

Help appreciated!

I think this might be a none issue.. They could take away the trailer but it´s pretty useless without the part that is firmly attached to the main bike. A casual thief couldn´t take that (I think).

people steal at centreparcs?

well, yes it does happen I'm afraid ( I know of one instance a child seat was removed - a private one not a rental), but I realise its rare and unlikely.

Its not just CP though - if I use it locally and park the bike, say at the supermarket, I dont want it to disappear either ;)

I've come up with a cunning plan however which doesnt involve locks - I've printed out DS's name 'DS 1' in big black letters on an inkjet fabric sheet.

I'm going to sew this onto the side of the trailer and also one onto the flag. I'm pretty sure that someone who intended to help themselves to a trailer with a short time to spare wouldn't immediately opt for one with the kids name on the side.

This is my cunning plan and I'm proud of it - even if its a bit silly
