hi all booked into a hotel in london for weekend 28/03/09, hopefully catch a show [don t know which one yet] but does anybody know how to get cheap train tickts for weekend 28/03/09 from preston, ???????? please

Here for hints, can't find any tricks that apply to your route where the cheapest fare seems to be £70.40 each.

But you could upgrade to first class outward for just £9.60, if you buy single tickets and split your journey at Warrington - you don't need to get off the train you just buy single tickets Preston - Warrington and Warrington - London, first class to London and standard return would be £80 each. Perfectly OK as your train would stop there anyway.
