Only going for a week so don't want to be too ambitious. But what should we really try to make an effort for?

for a really fab burger check out the burger joint in the meridien hotel, its fabulous behind the beautiful velvet curtains in the hotels gigantic hallway a hidden burger joint, its cramped but fab food, burger chips, beer, milk shakes thats it!

or accross the hallway normas for a deluxe brunch is very expensive but stocks up for the day & the next as they ll put it in a takeaway bag, divine.

I'm also there in April and have heard that the children's museum is great. Google it for more information - they seem to have a lot on everyday which you can just turn up for.

I also signed up to the Time Out Kids newsletter (google Time Out kids new york) which would probably be of more use for you than me as my dd is only going to be 21 months...

Thanks Pecan - had made a note of the museum as that's the kind of thing we usually like to do. Will sign up for newsletter.
