Half term last year early 20s degrees c and breezy on the Aegean coast. The year before varied - 3 days cloudy with a couple of patches of drizzle and rain overnight, 3 days brilliant sunshine c. 30 degrees c, totally calm seas and as hot as I'd want. Too cold for unheated swimming pools but the sea is lovely and warm. Much better than my summer UK holiday last year!

oo, sounding good

am just a bit worried cos we are going oct half term and am thinking it might be a bit too cool

I like hot, or at least mid-20's and sunny

Been at the start of October and it rained. Wouldn't go that late again.

My Mum lives in Turkey. Will ask her tomorrow when she phones if you like? She generally says it is warm most of the time but really hot in the summer. They haven't had much rain in the last year. She is in short sleeve tops most of the year i think!

I went to Istanbul the week before the Oct half term and it was pleasantly warm but I didn't need my trusty sun hat (couldn't say temps). There was only one day when it was quite windy but we were by the Bosphorus. It was more windy than cold iyswim.

thanks sally

We went to Side in Antalya at the end of October last year until about 10th November, and it was fantastic. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

AnyFucker · 29/03/2009 22:52

oo great diane, thanks

When we went (mid oct) it was lovely and warm, but I was (stupidly) surprised by the short days. Pool was in the shade before 4pm

AnyFucker · 30/03/2009 20:50

mmm, nice

I really hope it doesn't get too cool before the 25th Oct

Weather varies, been there when it's been hot, cool and wet. Can get very cold in the evenings/night. Daughter got married on 19th Oct two years ago, very hot but on the 20th turned cool but came hot again in Nov. Best go prepared for all weathers. Lots of places start to close up in October.

mooseloose · 31/03/2009 21:45

I'm going half term week too - my travel agent was there same time last year for a conference, abd said it was hot then.

AnyFucker · 01/04/2009 07:33

hoping its going to be warm and sunny
