Barcelona for Easter with dds (5) and (7)

Is Barcelona a good place to go with 2 daughters 7 and 5 for Easter? Are there lots to see and do there for them?

Definitely. City breaks aren't always ideal for young kids but Barcelona is. There's the beach for starters, big Gaudi park, outdoor swimming pools, street entertainers, sagrada familial...... really recommend it.

That sounds like fun. Though I am a bit concerned about ETA bombings happening in the past in Barcelona. Thats the only reason I have been putting it off for so long. Past ETA bombings have always taken place in crowded areas in Barcelona.

Go to the Sagrada Famille, well worth a visit. There's a zoo as well. I think there's an aquarium near the harbour/marina.

We also went to an underground museum right in the Gothic quarter which had all Roman ruins/walls and was interesting.

I loved the old cathedral as well, you can go up on the roof. In the middle is a courtyard with geese in it.

We also took the train to the monestry at Montserrat. Amazing, you go up the mountain in a cable car to get to the monestry.

I don't think ETA have been very active for a long time?

I'd have thought you'd have more chance of been blown up in London.

There is a bus that goes straight from the airport to the city centre - its about 4 euro. I've been twice, first time we got a taxi, second time we got the bus - bus was great.
