Can you recommend somewhere with fab kids' facilities for a holiday in August MNers?

I am posting on behalf of a friend here - she's very discerning, just like you, lovely Mumsnetters.

She is looking for somewhere sunny to go in August with her DS (4) and DD(2) with excellent facilities for the kids (e.g. play equipment) but not necessarily childcare facilities themselves - they're happy to look after the LOs.

I think she's prepared to go longish-haul (Mauritius was mooted) but as I say

Anywhere you can recommend greatly appreciated and we will have ANOTHER addict convert to Mumsnet!

TIA

Not long haul, but we've found the European centerparcs www.centerparcs.com/EN/GB/home to be brilliant!
Choose one with a Baluba (huge high quality soft-play dome) for children this age.
We went to De Kempervennen in Holland last June and the temp was in the 80's the whole time (might have been a bit of a fluke though). If visiting Holland they could also have a day or couple of days at de Efteling - very stylish and laid back theme park pitched at younger children.

Cannot rate here highly enough, but may be too hot in August.

Agree about european CP's we've been to two in France and they were both great.

Have also heard good things about this place in France called Belle Dune in Northern France
