need car parking near stansted for about 10 days over easter

can get great deal on flights out if go early morning, ie travel up night before and stay in hotel

also occured to me you can often get good deals on parking at hotels

have done quick search and come up with radisson (actually at the airport apparantly) for £119 incl parking while away, and whitehall hotel (transfer away) for £89

has anyone else done this? is it a good idea?

I will be on my own with two dc (6 and 3) actually my 3yo turns 4 that day so would need to be able to get nice birthday meal for 3 of us at hotel

check out the Hilton. We stayed there last week - think a family room is about £90 including breakfast from 5am. Coach transfer to airport is £2 per adult, free for children. Don't know what the parking is.

Yep Radisson is a two minute walk to the terminal, haven't stayed there though.

Radisson is perfect- it's next to where the3 car hire places are, there is also a holiday inn express. HTH

thanks - might go for radisson...our flight will be about 6.20am so the closer the better...omg, that means getting the kids up about 4am...maybe this isn't such an inspired idea after all...

jean, can you check in online?

Most airlines let you, though sometimes you can only take hand luggage.

It makes it sooooomuch easier at the airport as you waft past all the queues for check-in - you don't have to get up so early, and you don't have to wait for your stuff at the other end!

Depends where you're going and if you can travel light.
