DH has asked me to post to see how much you spend in an average day in Orlando.

We're thinking $200 a day should cover it?

2 Adults and 2 children, self catering. All park tickets paid for.

No idea because we simply used credit cards for everything. We drew some cash out as necessary from ATMs

twinsetandpearls · 01/03/2009 12:18

also no idea but it was a lot.

Sorry I can't remember either- don't reckon it was that much though? We got married there so my brain was otherwise engaged . I had a meltdown in the little mermaid show and had to be escorted out- this was the day before the wedding

We are quite useless.

cocolepew · 01/03/2009 12:25

If your tickets are paid for that sound ok.

I would think $200 is probably about right, although at the moment you are not getting a lot of dollar to the pound (we were getting $2 to the £1 last year).

Food from a supermarket will be roughly the same price as here.

Eating out will be much cheaper than here, and you will get humungous portions. If you eat as you normally would, you can get the leftovers put into a doggy bag, which you can then have the next day.

You can probably look at restaurant menus for the main chain restaurants online and make a decent guess at the cost of a meal. I would say that $50 (£30) for an evening meal would be ample for your family.

What do you plan to do (other than eat) while you are there? If you are paying admission for various attractions, you should be able to look up the cost online.

I think $200 a day is about what we spent, we only ate breakfast and dinner as the portions are huge and we didn't feel hungry at lunchtime.
