Try Mojacar (near Almeria) It's where we holidayed as children and my parents have a bar and live there now so we go there about 2-3 times a year, now with 2 DS's tagging along too! It's not very commercial (obv. it is a bit, as is most places in Spain) and the Old Town is beautiful (was the last moorish strong hold) But there is loads of family friendly places to eat, the beach is nice and it's only anout an hour away from Almeria Airport. I could go on for hours as it's a home from home!

It is quite steep, so you'll need an apartment on the Playa, so ask when you are booking..

Any questons, let me know
(my mum looks after some properties too, so if you want her details let me know)

Try Javea, on Costa Blanca. Its got a nice sandy beach. pretty old town, nice marina, not over built or too commercial but still has plenty to do. Gets nice weather and the sea is lovely. Its easy to fly too..(Alicante or Valencia airports) We've been there and can recommend. The beach area has a nice flat promenade where you can sit and have a meal, the kids can play and you can easily walk up and down with a pram. DH cousin has a villa there for rent which is geared up for babies and children.
