Sardinia - Advice please ( Or Sicily perhaps ) ...

Has any one been to Sardinia?
I was considering Forte VIllage ...
DO you have other recommendations ?

Also Sicily is an option ... rather confused at the moment

Don't go in July or August. We went htere for oneymona nd absolutely melted! Sicily is goregeous though. Would recommend hiring a car if you fancy seeing the island. If not looking to travel around would recommend the really british resort of Taormina.

We had a fab time in Sardinia without kids at Cala di Volpe and would seriously consider going back but to a more child friendly hotel. Forte village looks great. We went late June and the weather is fantastic. Driving around w side of island didn't look as good / pretty
