Any recommendations in the Tours area of France please?

Hi ,
We are hoping by the summer to get away on a much needed holiday as my DH has been fighting cancer for the last 13 months. We have friends nr Toulouse that we can stay with, but we would like to go somewhere else on the way down for a week or so, probably around Tours or even the Vendee. Would need somewhere that gives us something for three x`s 11 yr olds, so thinking a remote gite with pool would not be enough. Any ideas please?

We have stayed in a mobile home on this campsite which is fairly near Tours

Was recommended by another Mnetter I think.... great pool area, fairly small site, so all my dcs made friends easily, good mix of nationalities. We booked directly with the campsite and the mobile home was of very good quality.

It is near one of the big chateaus (Chambord). The grounds of the chateau are within cycling/walking distance.

Weather is not much different to the UK though..

Hi Triplets, i've been asking a similar sort of question here

Am now thinking Vendee, for the family friendly stuff, but Loire has the major chateaux which is what I'm after.

Am soooooo confused and can't make a decision.
