I know about the restictions over here in airports (ie water limit, have to taste it , better to buy otherside) but are there any limits/caveats on what you can take into the Us when you fly? we get tehre fairly late in the day and I'd like to take a little food/milk for dd to avoid having to hunt out something the minute we arrive. IS this going to cause a problem (I was thinking about pre packaged stuff as I know they won't let you bring in fruit/veg)?

Something tinned/jarred would be OK, as is biscuits. Meat, dairy, fruit and veg not allowed, but baby milk would be OK.

Dried, packaged fruit such as raisins is prob OK, but I'm not absolutely sure

You can take prepared baby food in jars/tins/packets provided it is vegatarian in your case plus powered baby milk. However all supermarkets over there sell SMS? brand so I used to just take a small jar full.

thanks guys - what is sms brand jules?

and I'm relaxed about using us stuff when I get there -its purely a case of if we get tehre late may not be able to go hunt it out that day.
