Cala d'or Majorca

Has anyone been to any nice family accomodations in Cala d'or ? Loads on internet but very mixed reviews for each one!! Going in August ..thks

no Ive been to Sa Coma to the Safari Apts and it was fanastic.

Fab restaurants, park and their own water park - were hoping to go this year.

before I had a child I went to Aparthotel Puerto Del Sol in cala d'or and really liked it, it had a good location backing onto the marina. Only downside to Cala D'or is that beaches were IMO both rather small.

Hi - we went to the Melia Cala D'or boutique hotel when our ds was 5 months last September. The h otel was lovely and we stayed in a suite which meant we had a separate bedroom and living room with a kitchenette which was really useful with the baby. Cala D'or itself is ok. Not much to do in the town but some nice restaurants and a little train that goes down to the Marina.

We were at the Melia Cala D'Or bouique last September too! We were with our 2 month old, we had a suite as well and it was fantastic, so much space and kitchen facilities for baby stuff. It wasn't cheap though! I had read that Cala D'Or was great for families, and found that there were lots of ramps along the pavements/staircases for buggies and restaurants were really accommodating. We never made it to the beach. As TheBish said, there isnt a huge amount to do there, but yes the Marina is nice and some other people we met at the hotel who had a 10 month old had hired a car and said that there were some amazing mountains to drive to if the weather was not conducive to a trip to the beach! Hotel location was excellent, right in the middle of things but not noisy. Enjoy!
