Its the hotel San Giovanni - but including flights seems quite dear and flights from gatwick only. Would lake garda be cheaper?

Corsica is beautiful but I don't know where that place is at all.

We went 1st week in August and the coast was v. busy but inland is v. quiet.

It is expensive to get to and not cheap once you're there though.

Where is the hotel? I was speaking to someone today who said Corsica is "meltingly hot" in July, much as we love the beaches and scenery there are better times to visit.

We have been in June and it was hot so air conditioning would be a good idea.July would be busy although August even more so when lots of Italians visit. We have stayed a couple of times around Calvi which was lovely.Good beach and we liked the town/harbour for evening strolls and eating. The interior of Corsica is wonderful with mountains and villages a bit like Provence.
It is a great place for a holiday.

Only been to lake garda when inter-railing many moons ago and this is very different.
I would go to Corsica.

Spent one of the best holidays ever in Corsica, we absolutely loved it but I think July could be blisteringly hot, we went late Sept and it was perfect then. Early July might be ok. Still dream of the beaches there, which were stunning, and the food, which was fab.

Have also been to Lake Garda in early June and was a good time, but i suspect gets v. hot in July also, we needed air con for a few of the days in June too.
