DP and I can't decide where to go on our hols, or even when (!!). I was wondering if you lovelt Mners could help.... any ideas?

Budget £2-2500
DP, Me and MiniNova (5)
Somewhere sunny, late 20's
I hate 'block of flats' type hotels and resorts, and would ideally like to stay in a bungalow, hut type thing, by the sea if possible. defo needs to be ground floor as my DS has possible ASD and no sense of danger etc...

Above all I need to be able to relax.... I need an area that I can sit in, and throw balls for my ds play etc, without getting stressed that he is going to do a runner, loose him etc....

So probably quietish. And DP says not chavvy...

The travel agent looked at me like i was bananas......

Accomodation wise, the Dassia Chadris in Corfu sounds as though it ticks all the boxes (you would need to request a bungalow).

This set of 3 villas in portugal www.rural-algarve-holidays.com/index.htm is owned by a family who have child with ASD - they promote as being particularly suitable. Am not qualified to comment on that aspect but the villas are lovely, we stayed in the biggest one, loads of space.
2nd time I have posted with this link tonight (how do you link properly btw??) but entirely coincidental I promise, not connected in any way, am just trawling travel posts for own holiday this year...

Sorry, just re-read, it's not by the sea, but about 30 mins drive away to several possibles. Definitely relaxing/quiet and secure tho (pool high-walled off next to garden).

Corsica is nice... We stayed here (now 8.5 years ago, but on website it still looks great). They are self-catering appartments, but in a very small complex, and close to sea, all with their own balcony and lovely views. Our balcony was huge and had a table on it. The village Ile Rousse is small, and not very touristy, loads of little shops, restaurants, bakeries.
If you would rather stay in a bungalow, you could check out Corsican places website. They do villas, appartments etc.
