18 month old and Madagascar 2

DD1 (five years old) is dying to see Madagascar 2 and was thinking of taking her this afternoon, but would have to take DD2 who is 18 months. I've never taken either of them to the cinema before. It will be a small local cinema. Is 18 months too young? She's quite a laid back baby and does watch TV occasionally (ahem) . Thanks!

not worth the risk imo

it will be heaving because it's half term, dd2 will want to run around, dd1 will need a wee at least once and mean you ahve to go out with both of them and step on lots of feet, then go back in and step on all the feet again.

and there is bound to be a (slighty) scary bit that will make one or both of them howl

make dh take dd1 as a special treat while you do something more restful with dd2. Or vice versa. Or offer to take dd1 and a friend while dd2 plays with the friends' little sister...

a dj on capital radio i believe described how his 4 yr old daughter cried and had nightmares all week after watching this film due to a 'flashback' which sows how the lion was taken from his mother as a cub.....hence we did't take my sensitive 3 yr old
