Would you recommend it? Thanks

I would say yes I would prob recommend it in that the DCs enjoyed themselves BUT it's v expensive (IMO - tho prob on a par with any zoo I would imagine) and if you do go then def take your own food!! We went in the summer and the queues for the cafes etc were huge and the prices were astronomical. We did have a very nice day out although I think the meercats were traumatised forever after DD2 shrieked VERY loudly at them - the whole clan of meercats ran for cover and wouldn't come out of their burrows, much to the disgust of the man who was trying to film them

we took our dd there last summer, it is very expensive and we had to pay for parking as well, we took our own food as it is normally expensive in those type of places, you can get your hand stamped on your way out of zoo for quick re-entry if you want to eat in the car to save carrying lunch around with you.

we prefer twycross as less expensive to get in and don't pay for parking.

LOL's at the thought of the meercats!

I am trying to think of a cheap day out with DD 5 and DS 3 and can use my Tesco vouchers here.

Has anyone else been?

We really like it, enough to have had annual passes when dd was little. (not been for a while though) - its not a great place on a cold windy day, its very exposed in parts. We tend to take a picnic and sit near the elephants.

Another place that we like, that is probably more manageable if you are taking to kids on your own is Woburn safari park.

Oh, I could use my vouchers at Woburn as well. Will have a look at their website and Twycross. Thanks.
