Have checked out Portugal which seems to have an average high of 20 in April, we want to go away for a week somewhere warm, any ideas? Haven't been through all the posted threads yet though but would like some ideas and any acommodation details too would be great!

Thanks

Portugal can be a bit hit and miss earlier in the year. How about Cyprus?

we are off to egypt too...........red sea.....cant wait

For real warmth in April you need Canaries or Madeira. Or Egypt/Jordan/Red Sea or the Gambia. The Algarve didn't (IME) heat up until early may.

We were thinking about going to Dubai in Mar/ Apr but it works out so expensive for hotels and the cost of living is dear there too. Apparently Jumeriah is the best location so my friend told me as she lives in Dubai but doesnt have the room to put us up as she has a lot of family going out.
Any cheap recommendations would be great

no1andno2 · 17/02/2009 16:08

egypt is cheap..........

Thanks to all am now veering towards Canaries as have done some more research and searched threads on this site - any recommendations? We haven't been before and would like somewhere with a nice pool and nearish a beach if poss with a teenager and 10 year old to 'entertain', not at all (if you can get that) or too touristy either

Thanks again
