Any advice/tips? I would really like to visit Japan, but not sure of the wisdom given we'll have a three year old in tow. wasn't thinking of Tokyo, thought probably too busy, but would like to go somewhere a bit quieter. Would have to be in school summer holidays. Any advice or suggestions very gratefully received!

wook see this thread

tis very hot in the summer - would prob be too much for a 3 year old not used to the heat.

Don't see why not - people go to Florida with 3 year olds all the time!

I drove to the North of Scotland regularly with a 3 year old.

You can do practically anything with children of any age if your standards are low enough!

would not recommend it - it is very hot, but more significantly, very humid, very crowded. She would appreciate more if you could do when she is older imho. I soent a year there, and am 'saving' it for when the dc are older and can appreciate the fascinating differnces in culture
