just that really, where did you do it - did you use a wedding planner? how much did it cost - roughly.

I got married in a hotel just outside of Ayia Napa 3 years ago. I only wanted to be there a week for half term as I wanted my niece and nephew to come and all the holiday companies wanted us to stay there 2 weeks. I used a company called Medweds to arrange the wedding as they could do it in a week, they booked the registrar and sorted the flowers and took us to see the registrar the day after we arrived. It was fab.

We got there Sunday and got married on the Thursday and flew home the following Sunday. We got our wedding photos at 6pm on the day of the wedding so spent an hour on the beach looking at the prints and choosing which ones we wanted, it was really great.

We got married in a gazebo type thing overlooking the beach and had a meal in the hotel afterwards. We wanted it quite low key and had about 15 family members with us.

We had a brilliant time. It cost about £1200 for the actual holiday for me, DH and DS who was 18 months and about another £800 I think for the meal, Medweds service, hair do, flowers and photos.

We had no hassle at all, we had a lovely holiday as well as a wedding as apart from meeting the registrar and making sure all our documents were in order and sorting out the food with the hotel we went out sightseeing and sunbathing etc.

This was in October by the way so prices will be dearer in summer but the weather was beautiful, 28 degrees and perfect for us. Resort of Ayia Napa was quite quiet too. Nissi Beach is lovely and we drove to Paphos on the other side which was nice too.

We are thinking of going back this October for our 4th anniversary.

Hope this helps!

thats great thanks - and we are also only planning to have 15 people there (including ds1&2) do you mind me asking what hotel you stayed in? and who arranged that? Have been in to town and got the first choice brochures but there seems to be no prices in them!
