carrielou2007 what can we do in lanzarote?

We are going there on sunday and never been before although been to Tenerife loads. Got DD (5) and DS (2) so where can we go with them? We are staying at the edge of Puerto del carmen in Playa de las Pocillos but hiring a car for the week so getting to places is not a problem.

We did parasailing, jet skiing, windsurfing, body boarding, scuba diving, sky diving, paragliding, parachuting, water skiing, surfing but with these sort of things you and DP would probably have to do take it in turns so one could look after the children. We also did submarine excursions, camel trips, horse riding, fishing, hikes at timanfaya national park, cycling trips (you can get a trailer for the little one), go karting which were fine for children. The water park was ok but quite small i thought. We also went to two markets one in teguise (sun) which was good and a smaller one in playa blanca (wed and sat)

Give the lani's chain of restaurants a miss aswell. Imo they are overpriced. There is a lovely restaurant in Puerto del Carmen with beds outside overlooking the sea.

Oh is this the bit right by the airport as we have been there too??? It has a fabulous beach but nice and quiet from what I remember. About a half hour walk to del carmen which has amazing views from the beaches and around the old harbour is lovely.

The market in tegusise (not the resort the town inland) is fab.

National park is brill, as is taking a boat trip or hydrofoil over the Feut is brill (takes 20 mins but not cheap) from playa blanca.

We tend to go AI so not wander around much, have just been there quite a bit!
