Paris for a day and a night -what should I do?

Any ideas welcome! Especially reasonably priced restaurants/cafes (North African?) Any good bus lines that take me past main sights? Or boats? Any good markets on a Saturday, especially African style? I have been to Paris before, just aiming for a bit of a potter about (no kids!).

definitely boats (bateaux mouche or equivalent) as you get to see lots of different sites from the water - eiffel tower, notre dame, the louvre and other stuff I can't remember. Also really good value for money. I would avoid doing the climb of the tower or l'arc de triomphe as the queues/stairs would take too long.

we like the Ile St Louis behind Notre Dame - theres a good few restaurants there as well as great gelaterie and bakerys as well.

Theres also a really interesting war memorial behind Notre Dame if you find yourself there.

The batobus takes you past various sights - you don't get a talk like you do on some of the Bateaux Mouches, but if you've been before you probably won't miss that. You can also hop on and off it to wander round different bits of the city.

Thanks all! I like the batobus idea and remember 2 good restaurants on the Ile St Louis - think I´ll make a return trip!
