tenerife next week - jumpers or t-shirts?

We're off to North Tenerife and I'm getting very different weather forecasts from bbc and a tenerife website - temperatures 5-6 degrees different!
Anyone been recently who can tell me whether I need woolly jumpers or t-shirts?

I was in South Tenerife mid November and it was quite cool. North Tenerife is always a few degrees cooler than the South. It was t-shirt weather but we needed fleeces/cardis for the evening. It was too cold for sunbathing or swimming.

We were in Lanzarote last week and it was 20C, but very windy and quite cloudy. A T-shirt was fine if we were somewhere sheltered, but in the wind and when it clouded over we definitely needed cardigans.

Hi elliott - I live in Gran Canaria which is just a short hop from Tenereife. You will definately need both. Not necessarily woolly jumpers but long sleeved tops & thin jumper will be fine. Also, take a waterproof. Have a good holiday

Thanks! Any idea on daytime temp? I am getting varying reports from 13-14 (sounds a bit miserable) to 20 (sounds fantastic!)
But I am certainly not expecting to be lounging around in the sun - it will be a walking/exploring holiday no doubt!

If you google "tenerife forum" there is a very good forum with mainly ex-pats in Tenerife. There is a daily weatehr update thread.
