bigspender30 · 12/02/2009 10:17

Actually I love hearing about where everyone is going and thinking about possibilities for future hols. I am hoping this year is a one off and we will be resuming normal holiday mode next year or sooner if we can find hubby a job!

We are doing all Britain this year

Easter-Week with parents in Fife/Dundee then week on our own in Glasgow (which is costing almost as much as two weeks in Menorca!)

May-Camping for first time in a ready tent in Henley

August-Back to Scotland again for another week with parents and then a week at our time share in Aberfeldy.

May go abroad at Oct half term or Christmas holidays

newpup · 12/02/2009 10:30

We had 2 weeks in Florida just before Christmas - was wonderful. We are going to Antigua for a week at Easter and then possibly Paris for a few days in September
(not to Disney but to show DDs 'proper' Paris)

DH and I will have a few days away in August maybe Rome or Venice have not decided yet. Dh wants to go to Boston or Chicago but I can not bring myself to go that far from DDs.

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 12/02/2009 10:32

Aismum - I'm coming with you.

bigspender30 · 12/02/2009 11:40

Thanks Fimbo! May just do that!
I forgot about timeshare. FIL has timeshare so may manage even a long weekend. Is it Kenmore you are going to?
Newpup, you are lucky with all these holidays!

Back to Rhodes, Greece for the 10th time!!! we are all 'comfy' there and our DS4 loves every single last minute of it.

Just putting my fingers in my ears and singing loudly when it comes to the euro v the pound though!

davidla · 12/02/2009 13:28

Taiwan (wife is Taiwanese). Booked it in January and 2 weeks later found out we were expecting child #2!

Fimbo · 12/02/2009 13:31

brimfull · 12/02/2009 13:31

shabster -where do you go in rhodes?
Interested as flights go from our local airport to rhodes

shabster · 12/02/2009 13:35

Before I tell you clear your mind of any tv programmes showing disgraceful, disgusting teenage behaviour!!

We go to Faliraki - stop shuddering!!! Its a part of Rhodes that has really cleaned up its act since the tv programme 'Faliraki uncovered' Bar Street is still there but the hotel we stay at is about 20 minutes walk from the touristy parts.

There are loads of beautiful resorts on Rhodes. The people are amazing - they make our evening meals for us everynight even though we are booked to go 'self catering'

Beautiful beach in Faliraki - our son (11 years old) is counting down the days until we go and we dont go until July!

June - Sardinia family hol
Aug - Family hol most probably France

sobanoodle · 13/02/2009 10:50

City break in Rome at easter
West country in August
Somewhere hot for Christmas

all with 4dcs

hellywobs · 13/02/2009 19:02

Despite the economy we are going to Australia to visit friends and Singapore. We've paid in advance so even if we lose our jobs before we go in August it's paid for!

We're also having a city break in Edinburgh in 2 weeks (minus ds who stays with my mum) and may visit friends in Germany in October half term depending on job situation.
