First hol with DS where and how ?

Ok - Dh , me and ds who will be 19months when we go want a holiday, probably in late Sept.

We've never really booked a proper holiday before, DH and I have always hiked amd cycled in the UK.

We'd like sun, beach, some hills for walks and some peace and quiet. We'd prefer a self catering apt to a hotel.

We've got a few brchures but nothing really appeals.

Any ideas anyone ?

UK or abroad? I went self-catering with a friend and 2 under 2s to Mallorca (sp?) last year and it was nice, less crowded tht I expected (out of school hols) warm but not too hot sandy beaches, not catastrophically expensive.
If in Uk, Gower penisular and Pembrokeshire have both been great for camping (not sure about the sun tho). And KEnt, to my surprise.

Soory - should have said - abroad. We went to uni in Swansea so know South Wales well. It is gorgeoous.

Ibiza? A friend has taken her DS the last 2 years, first time he had just turned 1. They stayed in a very child friendly hotel and last year her DS loved dancing at the disco!
