Greece, Balearics or similar with 3 little ones, non-package

Maybe it's the fact we've had no summer for the last 2 years, or the fact I've not been abroad for 5 years, or the fact there's thick snow everywhere... but I'm determined that next year, we're going somewhere slightly more exotic than Norfolk!

I'm thinking Greek islands, Balearics or similar, and I'd definitely prefer to find a b&b or private-let apartment or something and arrange our own flights rather than go on a package. We don't want kids clubs, babysitting, spas or entertainment, we're miserable buggers who would rather keep ourselves to ourselves on holiday.

But if anyone can tell me about any fantastic child-friendly destinations or secret addresses, I'd be eternally grateful.

Puerto Pollensa in Majorca is lovely. Check out puertopollensa.com, there are loads of private apts advertised. Thats what we did last year and had a fab time.

Port de Soller is also a good place in Mallorca. Low key and no Full English breakfasts. Only thing you need to be aware of is that some of the accomodation can be a steep walk from the beach/up steps so definitely check about access depending on the age of your DCs.

The beauty of Mallorca is that it is small so no long transfers from the airport, and there are plenty of daytime flights (and they are only 2ish hours long!).
