Singapore airlines- size of bassinet?

Thinking of booking flights to Singapore later in the year. Will have a 2 and a half year old and an 11 month old. We don't want to pay for a seat for the younger one so was wondering how big the bassinet is? I suspect he will be too big and will be on our legs...Thanks

Flew with 9 month old dd with Singapore, she was about 70 cm length and fitted in the bassinet but it was quite snug.

I would recommend getting one even if your ds doesn't sleep in there. Dd slept on me most of the time but the bassinet was useful space to put bag, toys etc.

If you phone Singapore airlines or visit their website it may tell you the length of the bassinet. There was a woman on the same flight as me with a ds who looked to be nearly 2 and she squeezed him into the bassinet! Dd just kept waking up and trying to climb out..

We have recently flown with our 10 month old and 2 year old on long haul flights. The little one is small for her age and only just fitted in the bassinet when awake as she wanted to wriggle around!!. The main problem is they are not very deep, therefore when she was asleep in it very snugly I was concerned she would wake up and pull herself up/fall out so in the end it was easier for me to sleep with her on my lap.

Thanks for the replies. DS is only 5 weeks now and is TINY but if he is anything like his sister he will be very big by Xmas! Will def order a bassinet anyway as then will get the extra legroom but will wait to see whether he will fit in it! DD has always slept v well on our laps so here's hoping.
