Vinopolis London.....

Anyone been to Vinopolis lately? I'm thinking about taking the other half there for his birthday using my Clubcard Deal vouchers, but can only get basic tour with them. If you peeps can say its good then I may pay to do the Celebration Tour - more sample tasting!!! Opinions please.... Is it worth the money? does it get over busy on a saturday therefore making it unenjoyable? TIA

I probably went about 2 years ago and its a great day out, especially if you can enjoy the tasting properly (no driving etc!) I cant recall what entry we paid for but it was good, if you like wine and tasting drinks etc. The more you pay= more to drink.

I particularly enjoyed the gin experience

I'd say avoid w/ends if you can, that part of london gets really busy at the weekend, especially if its a nice day by river.

It will be manic around there, GYO is right, but it will also be lovely. Go early and wander around Borough Market first.

I haven't done the tour but have only ever heard good things about it.

Want to do something memorable as he recently treated me to for my birthday. The pennies are a bit tight at mo so thinking of something reasonably inexpensive. Thanks peeps...
