Is this any good? Will be in Glasgow for the weekend and thought this might be a fun day out for dss aged 6, 3 and 1. Any opinions? Thanks.

Hmmm.... it is interesting, but more for the 6-year-old really. A lot of the exhibits are things to read and listen to - there are some very exciting bits but not a day's worth.

If you're going to be in Glasgow, Kelvingrove is a better bet I think - brilliant museum, loads to see, nice cafe, it's free, and also there's the transport museum just nearby.

I took my 5 and 3 year old nephews there and it was OK but I wouldn't say it was brilliant for young children. Good for older ones though, maybe the six year old would enjoy it. It's very educational and there are interactive things and things about dinosaurs, but I would say mainly aimed at slightly older children.

Yes, agree with Snowleopard that Kelvingrove is a better idea. Dynamic Earth is quite expensive as well.

The science centre in glasgow is great for all ages, and the free museums in Glasgow make it pointless trailing through to Edinburgh really. Can you see the West Coast bias .

Transport museum in Glasgow is ideal for 6 and 3 yrs too.
